It was capable of navigating furniture and other objects, but it had issues with stairs, where it could accidentally crash into bookcases.

The dust bag is expected to last for around 30 loads or a month and half. It's recommended to replace the filter on a regular basis (as suggested by iRobot). We've found that the iRobot S9+ doesn't get extremely loud when it's in use and is a great choice for people who live with kids or pets.

The robot doesn't come with as many features as the more expensive models we tested, however it does have the basics covered. It has a large enough dust bin to hold a lot of dirt before it's empty and its mop and vacuum system is perfect for hard floors and low-pile carpets. It's also very quiet, and we could watch the TV while it was working without feeling like it was blazing us with the sound.
Our test participants were extremely pleased with how easy the machine was to operate and set up. They also loved its ability to remove all the messes that had accumulated on their floors. It was effective in picking up pet hair, messes and carpeting however it was more difficult in removing stubborn stains. The app was simple to use and user-friendly. They could schedule the vacuum to clean frequently to reduce the amount of manual work. It doesn't include the ability to avoid objects or map technology, so it isn't able to be used to send specific rooms or follow virtual borders (though magnetic boundaries work).
The V3S Pro is another model from the iRobot's budget line. It offers many impressive features at a reasonable price. It was the top robot vacuum in our tests to avoid obstacles and map them. It's also the best budget choice for those seeking an intelligent, self-emptying robotic vacuum that can handle pet messes and hair on hardwood floors or carpets with a low pile. It's also super quiet and has a huge dust bin that holds lots of debris before it has to empty, so you don't have to worry about constantly emptying it.
The V3S Pro did not make it onto our top choice lists of trusted sources who perform hands-on tests, but it was praised by Modern Castle, Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient. The V3S Pro was simple to use and set up, but the battery life was not long.
